Week 8: April 21-27, 2025
Welcome to week 8 (our final week! 😿) of our Yoga Asana Analysis course!
I hope you enjoyed the material we covered last week about tree pose, eagle pose, standing big toe pose, warrior 3, and standing forward fold.
Now our new course material this week covers a fresh selection of yoga asanas – handstand, pyramid pose, standing and seated twists, and purvottanasana (reverse plank)! 👏
I hope you enjoy breaking down and analyzing this new collection of poses with me!
As a reminder, you’ll have this full week to:
watch the video content (below)
complete the quick quiz on these videos (below)
and share your answer to this week’s homework question in our cohort forum. (Homework Q posted below!)
Please complete these assignments by the end of the day on Sunday, April 27th.
And remember, I’ll be present in the cohort forum all week to read and review everyone’s homework submissions, and I’ll also be there to answer any and all questions that might come up for you about this week’s course material!
I hope you enjoy your content for this week, and I’ll see you in the forum!

Homework question for week 8
Please post your response to this question in the “Week 8 Homework” thread in our content hub!
Choose one of the yoga asanas we covered this week (handstand, twisting triangle, twisting high lunge, revolved side angle, pyramid pose, ardha matseyandrasana, Marichyasana C, bharadvajasana, and easy seat twist) and and share one cue for this pose that you feel is either helpful or unhelpful, and explain why.
I’d love for us to collectively share and learn from each other – whether it's effective cueing language for these poses or cues we might want to avoid.
Feel free to draw on our broader course themes of “bigger picture alignment”, “self-organization”, and “micromanaging”.
